2025–2026 MEMBERSHIP
Membership is the way we live together as the body of Christ at Lamb.
As a way of keeping our membership current, we renew our commitments each year. This form is for those who have been a member at Church of the Lamb in the past year to reaffirm their membership for the upcoming year. If you have not been a member and would like to become one, please reach out to parishadmin@churchofthelamb.org.
Here is a summary from the Anglican Church in North America, of which Lamb is a part, on what it means to be a member of a church body.
With the help of God’s grace, it shall be the duty of every member of the Church:
To worship every Lord’s Day in a Church unless reasonably prevented;
To engage in practices of personal devotion such as prayer and the reading of Holy Scripture;
To pray regularly for their needs and those of others, for the Church, its mission, and for the concerns of the world;
To observe their baptismal vows, to lead an upright and sober life, and not give scandal to the Church;
To give regular financial support to the Church, with the biblical tithe as the minimum standard of giving;
To practice forgiveness daily according to our Lord’s teaching;
To uphold the doctrine of this church (see The Jerusalem Declaration at churchofthelamb.org/anglicanism) and to devote themselves to the ministry of Christ and the proclamation of the Gospel.
Read Acts 2:42–47, preferably in a small group, and reflect on the following questions:
What did it mean for these Christians to be part of the Christian community?
Notice the word “devoted” in verse 42: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and the prayers.”
Where do you see devotion embodied in our world?
What should devotion look like in the church?
How can we increase our devotion at Lamb?
Have you ever been part of a devoted community? What was that like?
One author writes about the deep ways these believers sacrificed for one another: “These early believers seem not to have sold the houses in which they lived, since they went on meeting in individual homes (2:46). Rather, they sold extra property they possessed—a highly significant thing for people for whom land was not just an economic asset but part of their ancestral heritage, part of God’s promised inheritance. Christians saw themselves as a single family. Just as biological family would share shelter, food and money, so did the early Christians. They also shared more of course—the same baptism, faith and fellowship.” The author then asks, “In what ways can we express this common life and bond that we have with other Christians, materially and otherwise?”

A Prayer for committing or renewing membership at Church of the Lamb:
Almighty God, look with favor upon us as we affirm our commitment to follow Christ and to serve in his name in this church. Give us courage, patience, and vision; and strengthen us all in our Christian vocation of witness to the world, and of service to others; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
