WORSHIP. WORK. REST.

At Church of the Lamb, we seek to glorify God through our worship, work, and rest.

As we make our home at Rockingham Abbey, a 31-acre farm in the Shenandoah Valley, we find ample opportunity to worship God in his creation, work to restore the land to His use for His glory, and rest in knowing that God has found us very good.

New to Lamb? Here’s what to do.

  • Welcome Lunches

Come to our next Welcome Lunch!

Every few months, we set aside time after a Sunday service for some church staff to host a lunch at a home just down the road. We eat together and introduce newcomers— and some old timers who just want a good lunch!— to the mission and vision of Church of the Lamb at Rockingham Abbey. Get connected and learn more about Lamb!

Sign up for our next Welcome Lunch here.

  • Volunteer

    Share your gifts with us!

We find that doing the work of the family makes you feel like part of the family. Everyone is wanted and needed! That means there’s no test you have to pass or class you have to take before you can volunteer. The ideal is that we all find a job or two that requires good work but isn’t an undue burden. That way, no one is left out and no one is burnt out!

Check out the available volunteer roles here.

  • Parish Groups

    Join a Parish Group!

Parish Groups are how members of the body connect in smaller groups throughout the week. Focusing on eating together and doing Evening Prayer, we seek to grow together as disciples of Christ while living and working in community together. We have groups all throughout the city and county, and each group is a little different!

You can learn about each group and request to join here at any time!

  • Celebrate

    Celebrate with us!

Each Sunday, our service points towards celebrating the feast of Eucharist. We hope you’ll come celebrate the Supper of the Lamb with us each Sunday. We also invite you to celebrate the other sacraments with us, like baptism and confirmation. Our Adult Catechesis classes guide folks through what’s required for membership, confirmation, and baptism.
