VOLUNTEER
AT CHURCH OF THE LAMB
Volunteer Opportunities
There are roles for members of all ages and abilities. That being said, some roles require more time, energy, or specialization. We’ve tried to list roles in ascending order from most flexible to those requiring more work outside of the Sunday service, or more specialization within the service.
While we have a “volunteer scheduling cycle” once a year, many roles can accommodate newcomers out of that typical cycle.
We encourage you to find ways for all in your household to join in the work of the church. If you’d like to read more about our heart behind volunteering, click here.
Please be mindful of your schedule and energetic limitations when volunteering. If you are unable to honor the dates for which you are scheduled, make sure to find your own substitute and make any necessary changes in Planning Center.
Sunday Morning Roles
We believe that belonging in the kingdom of God requires a healthy dose of both work and rest. We are grateful for the lay-leaders who serve each week so we can all experience worship through word and sacrament together on Sunday mornings. Furthermore, volunteering isn’t just a blessing to those being served, but to those serving.
We each have unique and distinct roles to play in the body of Christ. Consider the gifts of the Spirit you have been given as you find a volunteer role that suits you and your capacity in this season of life. And don’t hesitate to “phone a friend” if your self-awareness could use an assist.

Weekday Roles
Sunday morning worship is the time we get to share in the bread and the wine as one united body.
That being said, there are times of connection throughout the week that reinforce our unity and refine our formation. These events remind us that Sunday worship isn’t something we just attend or a box we simply check.
As we follow Christ in the midst of our weeks, we find additional opportunities to partner in the work of the church. Read more about the ways you can assist with these opportunities.
